Lucas Park Campground (Lucas)

Located at the Northern side of Wilson Lake, Lucas Park Campground offers gorgeous panoramic views of wide open spaces. The cherry on the cake is the huge shiny lake that makes the place even more serene. Campers keep themselves busy with all the exciting things to do here. Swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, and wildlife viewing — do whatever your heart desires. There are about 98 modern campsites that are suitable for RV camping and tent camping. Please keep in mind that there’s a limit of one RV and one tent or two tents per camp pad. So, plan accordingly. The campground provides a number of amenities that would make your stay more comfortable. These amenities include flush toilets, vault toilets, showers, parking area, dump station, boat ramp, playground, water hook-up, electricity hook-up, and water spigot. Lucas Park Campground is known to be a dog friendly campground. So, your little darling can accompany you on your camping trip. You would have to keep your furkid on a leash at all times. You would also need to make sure to clean up after them when they make a mess.

Eisenhower State Park (Osage City)

Eisenhower State Park features 440 acres of woodland, 1,000 acres of tallgrass prairie, and a 6,930-acre lake. Needless to say, picture-perfect vistas are what you find at this location. Not just that, the state park offers countless fun recreational activity options that make your trip all the more memorable. To name a few — hiking, biking, horseback riding, archery, disc golfing, swimming, fishing, boating, wildlife viewing, kayaking, canoeing, and picnicking. The campground at this state park has about 163 utility campsites. They also have 4 modern cabins and 2 primitive yurts that are available for rent. Free Wi-Fi is available at the park office and parking lot. Other amenities include showers, water hook-ups, electricity hook-ups, sewer hook-ups, boat ramps, ice (for sale), firewood (for sale), swimming beach, a 19 target walk-through archery trail, sand volleyball court, an 18-hole disc golf course, picnic shelters, laundry facilities, a fly fishing pond and a fishing pond especially for kids to fish at. If you are looking for a pet friendly campground in Kansas, then you can add Eisenhower State Park to your bucket list. Pets are welcome not only at the campground but throughout the park as well. For everyone’s safety (including your furbaby’s), it is best to keep them on a leash at all times. You would also have to clean up after your doggo.

Bloomington West Campground (Lawrence)

Bloomington West Campground is a beautiful place with trees, a lake, and vast open spaces. The campground offers about 25 campsites. Four of them are equipped with water and electricity hook-ups. Other amenities at the campground include fire pits, grills, picnic tables, drinking water, showers, flush toilets, and a boat ramp. Other than camping, visitors have a great time swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing, jet-skiing, hiking, and biking. Bloomington West Campground is one of those campgrounds that allow dogs on its premises. Your pooch can join you on your camping trip when you visit this place. But, you would need to make sure that you keep the area clean while camping there. So, you would have to clean up after your dog when s/he poops or makes a mess. You would also have to keep your pupper on a leash at all times.
