Green Falls Campground (Voluntown)

Located right next to a pond, Green Falls Campground is often visited by people who love to spend their time swimming and fishing there. The campground offers facilities such as a compost toilet, recycling bins, parking area, picnic area, and boat launch. Please keep in mind that there is no drinking water available at the campground. So, you would have to carry your drinking water to last the entire trip. If you are looking for a dog friendly campground in Connecticut, then you can include Green Falls Campground in your bucket list. This beautiful campground welcomes well-behaved puppers who want to enjoy nature along with their pawrents. There are a few rules and regulations that you would have to follow while staying at the campground. Dogs must always be on a leash of not more than seven feet. Only one pet is allowed per campsite. You must never leave your pet unattended. Your furkid must be up-to-date on his/her vaccines and you would need to show proof of the same when you reach the campground. It is best if you keep the vaccination documents with you at all times. You would also need to clean up after your pup and carry poop bags with you for this purpose.

Cozy Hills Campground (Bantam)

As the name suggests, Cozy Hills Campground is a beautiful, serene, and cozy place that does wonders for your soul. The place is perfect for spending some quality time with your friends and family, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. You can indulge in a number of fun activities at this location; such as canoeing, kayaking, fishing, gemstone mining, playing bingo, playing outdoor laser tag, and taking part in arts & crafts workshops. They also have an arcade, a playground, an inground pool, library, recreation hall, and horseshoes that you can utilize while camping there. There are numerous amenities that make your camping trip more convenient and comfortable. These amenities are free Wi-Fi, a propane fill station, a full-service store, a cafe, and a pavilion. Cozy Hills Campground is one of those campgrounds that allow dogs. So, while visiting this campground, you can take your furbaby with you without any worry. However, not all the campsites accommodate dogs. So, when making a reservation, make sure to mention that you’ll be bringing your dog with you. There is a limit of two dogs per site. Additional dogs may be permitted on request. A fee may be applicable if campers want to take along more than two dogs with them. Dogs should not be left unattended even for a second. Pooches must also be on a leash at all times.

Witch Meadow Lake Family Campground (Salem)

Gracing the shores of a tranquil lake, Witch Meadow Lake Family Campground is a great place to kick back and relax with your loved ones. Along with being at a gorgeous location, the campground is also famous for the wide range of amenities and activity options it offers. There’s so much to do here that you’ll never get bored. Some of those activities/amenities are a campground store (RV products, propane, ice, wood, toys, gifts, novelties, clothing, groceries, etc.), tennis courts, shuffleboard, badminton, horseshoes, kickball, t-ball, volleyball, softball, basketball, a heated pool, food service (coffee, donuts, muffins, ice cream sundaes, breakfast sandwiches, Danish soups, salads, hot dogs, deli sandwiches, etc.), laundry room, recreation hall (children’s library, pinball, ping-pong, pool, video games, etc.), adult lounge (free Wi-Fi, large screen television, and a library), 14-acre lake (hydro bikes, canoes, swimming, boating, swan paddle boat, fishing, and sunbathing), and a pet walking trail. Witch Meadow Lake Family Campground happens to be a pet friendly campground. However, please keep in mind that though pets are allowed here, they are supposed to remain at their respective campsites. You are not permitted to trot around the campground with your dog. Any dog that visits the campground would have to be on a leash at all times. Doggies would have to be up-to-date on their vaccinations and their pawrents would have to carry a record of his/her vaccinations while visiting Witch Meadow Lake Family Campground. There is a limit of two dogs per site. Also, breeds such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and wolf-dog hybrids are not permitted to camp at Witch Meadow.
