Amenities at the campground include drinking water, a dump station, flush & vault toilets, showers, a beach, a playground, a dock, and a boat ramp. Big Hart Campground is a dog friendly campground. As there are a number of wildlife species living in the woods around the campground, you should keep your furbaby on a leash at all times.
Vogel State Park (Blairsville)
Located at the base of Blood Mountain in the Chattahoochee National Forest, Vogel State Park is one of Georgia’s oldest state parks. It is also deemed to be the most popular one. Hikers have the option of choosing from different types of hiking trails that cater to varying levels of skill. The most popular trails are the challenging 13-mile Coosa Backcountry Trail, and the 4-mile Bear Hair Gap loop that leads hikers to the gorgeous cascading Trahlyta Falls. The campground has about 35 cabins and more than 100 campsites that are suitable for both RVs and tents. Vogel State Park happens to be a pet-friendly place. So, you and your furkid are bound to have a great time here. You would need to make sure that your pooch is on a leash at all times. This leash can’t be longer than six feet. You would also need to clean up after your pet.
