Crossings Vineyards and Winery, Newtown
Founded in the year 2000, Crossings Vineyards and Winery is located at a 200 year old estate. The place is so stunning that it is often used as a venue for weddings, corporate meetings and private parties. Visitors can indulge in different wine tasting experiences that showcase their award-winning wines. They can even choose to have a casual lunch if they want to. Though Crossings Vineyards and Winery is a dog friendly winery, dogs are not allowed to enter any of the winery buildings. They are only permitted on the outside grounds. Dogs would also have to be on a leash at all times. Dogs who bark too much or exhibit any aggressive behavior may be asked to be removed from the property.
Halbrendt Vineyard and Winery, Orrtanna
Halbrendt Vineyard and Winery is a charming little winery owned and operated by a couple who is passionate about making wines. The owners have experience working at Penn State University Fruit Research & Extension Center. Hence, they have enough knowledge on the art and science of the whole process of producing delicious wines. They use their skills to churn out different types of wines—dry, semi-sweet and sweet— to suit the taste preferences of varied wine lovers. Halbrendt Vineyard and Winery is a pet friendly winery. They even allow dogs in their tasting room.
Penns Woods Winery, Chadds Ford
Originally from Italy, the founder of Penns Woods Winery settled in the Delaware County area in the year 1962. After achieving success as a wine importer and distributor, he broadened his goals and turned to winemaking. With three decades of experience in the wine industry, he used his knowledge and skills to craft wines that appeal to wine lovers. So, when you visit this winery, you can expect to taste some of the most delicious red, white and rose wines in the country. Penns Woods Winery is also a pet friendly winery. Pooches are welcome in the outdoor areas. However, other than service dogs, pets are not permitted indoors.
The Farm Winery, Orrtanna
Sitting pretty amidst beautiful farmlands and serene mountains, The Farm Winery covers an area of about 40 acres. They are deemed to be South Central PA’s largest wine producer as well as the longest continually operating winery. With decades of experience in producing wines for the masses, this winery has pretty much perfected the craft. So, on a visit to this winery, you’ll get to taste some of the most luscious wines ever. The Farm Winery is not one of those wineries that allow dogs in their tasting room. But they still are a pet friendly winery. So, you can take your furbaby with you while visiting this winery. Dogs are expected to be leashed at all times. The winery provides water bowls for their canine guests. They even have their own resident dog who welcomes furry visitors and makes them feel at home. How cute is that? The winery hosts a number of dog-friendly events every year; including a fundraiser for an animal shelter and the resident dog’s birthday.
