Tunisair Pet Policy

Tunisair allows pets to travel on their flights provided that the reservations for it are made in advance. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s).

Pet Criteria

Tunisair accepts cats, dogs and small cage birds onboard.

In-cabin

Animals traveling in the cabin of the aircraft are required to cause no discomfort to other passengers. The pet is required to stay inside the carrier throughout the flight’s duration. The weight of the pet and the carrier combined must not be more than 18 lbs.

Checked Baggage

Animals that do not meet the stated requirements of the cabin are required to travel as checked baggage. The pet is required to be kept inside the carrier that should be adequately sized for his/her convenience and be properly ventilated. The combined weight of the pet and the carrier must not exceed the weight restriction of 71 lbs.

In-cargo

Unaccompanied or large animals are transported via the cargo service of the airline. Pet parents, for this matter, must take complete responsibility for transporting their pets complete with the health records and other necessary documentations.

Emotional Support/Service Animal

Tunisair allows service dogs to travel at no additional cost in the cabin of the aircraft.
