Thai Airways Pet Policy

Thai Airways welcomes pet(s) on selected flights so plans must be made accordingly. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s).

Pet Criteria

Pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets are accepted onboard Thai Airways.

In-cabin

Currently, no pets are allowed to travel in the cabin of the aircraft.

Checked Baggage

Pets are accepted to travel as checked baggage in the hold section of the aircraft. The pet’s carrier is placed safely in the temperature controlled environment. For pets flying to or from United States, the weight restrictions as stated by the airline should not be more than 70 lbs. Also, the dimensions of the carrier must not exceed 54 x 27 x 33 inches.

In-cargo

For pets that are large and do not meet the requirements laid down for checked baggage are transported via the cargo service of the airline known.

Emotional Support/Service Animal

Thai Airways allows passengers to get their emotional support and service dog in the cabin at no additional cost. However, the airline demands that the dependent passenger presents the necessary documents before the scheduled departure.
