Surinam Airways Pet Policy

Surinam Airways allows live animals to be transported through their cargo service. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s). Certain restrictions on breeds and species are in place, so confirming the availability and animal restrictions is the first step of many, as explained further.

Pet Criteria

Surinam Airways has a ban on the shipment of certain animals. Primates cannot be shipped through Surinam Airways to and from any destination and birds, fowls and reptiles cannot be transported to Amsterdam (Europe). All other animals are welcome.

In-cabin

In-cabin travel for pets and other animals is not a possibility right now.

In-cargo

Surinam Airways cargo is used for the shipping of animals. To travel with pets/other animals, certain documents are required by the airline such as- ● Passport details of the sender/pet parent ● Customs formalities ● HO3 form ● Invoice ● Health Certificate ● Vaccination records ● The shipping address

Emotional Support/Service Animal

The airline requires all the same documents as mentioned in the previous section to accept the travel request for assistance animals.
