Spirit Airlines is an ultra-low-cost airline that was founded in 1983. Its headquarters are located in Miramar, Florida. With a fleet of about 153 aircraft, the airline serves around 77 domestic and international destinations. Travelers can make Spirit Airlines reservations for cities like Bogotá, Phoenix, Lima, Los Angeles and Panama City. This popular airline’s operating bases are Orlando International Airport, McCarran International Airport, Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport, Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, O’Hare International Airport and Atlantic City International Airport.

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers aboard Spirit Airlines flights are allowed to take along one personal item free of cost. This personal item (purse, small backpack) should fit in the smaller sizer box easily. Its dimensions should not be more than 18 x 14 x 8 inches. Other than the personal item, passengers are also allowed to take along one carry-on baggage. The dimensions of the carry-on baggage cannot be more than 22 x 18 x10 inches. A baggage fee might be applicable on this piece of carry-on baggage.

Checked Baggage

Passengers with Spirit Airlines flight tickets are permitted to carry one piece of checked baggage the weight of which cannot exceed 40 lb. Its linear dimension cannot be more than 62 inches. A baggage fee might be applicable on checked baggage.
