Royal Air Maroc Pet Policy

Royal Air Maroc is Morocco’s national airline and the largest one as well. It welcomes pets to travel in the cabin and in hold in many of its flights. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s). Some breeds will not be permitted for travel with the airline due to health risks for the animals, so confirming the availability and animal restrictions is the first step of many, as explained further.

Pet Criteria

Small dogs, cats and birds are permitted to travel with Royal Air Maroc.

In-cabin

To be allowed to travel in the cabin, your pet and their carrier should not weigh more than 11 lbs (5 kg). You can carry two pets in a single carrier as long as they do not exceed the weight limit and are comfortable with each other. The dimensions for the in-cabin carrier cannot exceed 21" x 15" x 8" (55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm) and should have enough space for your pet to move comfortably.

Checked Baggage

Dogs, cats and birds weighing more than 11lbs (5 kg) and are not eligible for in-cabin travel can travel as checked baggage. The maximum combined weight of the pet and the carrier that can travel in hold is 165 lbs (75 kg). The carrier must be well ventilated, well secured, lockable, waterproof and very sturdy to be accepted for travel in hold.

Emotional Support/Service Animal

Passengers with any physical disability, difficulties in sight and hearing, can travel with Service dogs if they can provide a medical certificate stating their disability and need to travel with an assistance animal. Their transportation, including their carrier and food, will be done at no extra cost.
