Kuwait Airways Pet Policy

Kuwait Airways welcomes pet(s) onboard if they are notified about it ahead in time. They do not accept a pet on a last minute notice. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s).

Pet Criteria

Live animals and birds are allowed onboard Kuwait Airways.

In-cabin

At present, Kuwait Airways does not allow pets to travel in the cabin, with an exception to the service dogs flying to or from US.

Checked Baggage

Pets are granted permission by Kuwait Airways to travel in the aircraft as checked baggage. The carrier in which the pet will be kept should be made of a strong material, the mesh of which should be nose and paw-proof, and must be properly ventilated from at least 3 sides. The door of the carrier should also be intact with nuts and bolts to avoid any accidental opening during transit. Also, the carrier should be large enough to let the pet turn around, stand up and sit conveniently.

Emotional Support/Service Animal

Kuwait Airways understands the need of a service animal and therefore allows service dogs to fly in the cabin of the aircraft at no extra charge.
