Hainan Airlines Pet Policy

Hainan Airlines allows pets to travel as checked baggage. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s). Only three pets can be transported at once, so confirming the booking is the first step of many, as explained further.

Pet Criteria

Domesticated cats and dogs older than 6 months can be transported with Hainan. Pregnant pets or pets who have delivered in the last 48 hours will not be approved for flying. Other restrictions on the breeds may also apply.

In-cabin

Currently, pets are not allowed to travel in the cabin.

Checked Baggage

Only 1 animal per crate will be allowed with a maximum weight of 70 lbs (32 kg). This weight limitation if inclusive of the food and water supplied for the pet’s journey. The carriers can be of any size in the range of 20" x 15" x 15" (53 cm x 38 cm x 40 cm) to 47" x 32" x 34" (121 cm x 81 cm x 88 cm).
