Fiji Airways Pet Policy

Fiji Airways accepts pets onboard provided there is space available. Therefore, the decision to travel with the pet must be made well in advance to ensure a confirmed space for him/her. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s).

Pet Criteria

Fiji Airways allows dogs, cats, birds and other household pets to travel onboard its flights.

In-cabin

The Fiji flag carrier doesn’t allow pets to travel in the cabin of the aircraft at present. However, exceptions are made for guide dogs.

Checked Baggage

Pets that are accepted as checked baggage are required to stay in the carrier throughout the flight’s duration.

In-cargo

Fiji Airways transports pets via its cargo service. However, all the necessary documentation- health and vaccination record, entry permit of the travel destination, and advance approval of the carrier- must be presented to the airline prior to the scheduled departure.

Emotional Support/Service Animal

Fiji Airways allows guide dogs to accompany passengers with sight impairment or hearing disability in the cabin of the aircraft.
