Etihad Pet Policy

Etihad welcomes animals to fly with them. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s).

Pet Criteria

Falcons, horses, other pets and guide dogs can travel with Etihad.

In-cabin

Only Falcons are permitted to travel in the cabin provided all the documents and permits are arranged for in advance.

Checked Baggage

Guide dogs and Falcons can be transported in the baggage hold. Obtaining all permits and documentation is very important for approval from the airline.

In-cargo

All other pets and animals including horses will be transported through the Etihad Cargo Service.

Emotional Support/Service Animal

Guide dogs can travel in the baggage area at no extra cost as long as all necessary documents and permits are provided.
