Passengers planning to fly with pet(s) onboard Asiana Airlines need to make reservations ahead in time as pet travel is subject to availability. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s).
Only dogs, cats and pet birds are accepted as pet passengers on Asiana Airlines.
Each passenger can only get one pet in the cabin of the aircraft. The pet must be kept inside the carrier, the dimensions of which must not exceed 45 inches. Also, the weight of the pet and the carrier combined should be within 15 lbs.
A pet that does not meet the specified requirements of the cabin is transported as checked baggage. Each passenger is allowed to get two pets as checked baggage. The combined weight of the pet and the carrier should not be more than 99 lbs. Also, the carrier in which the pet is required to stay throughout the flight’s duration should not measure more than 112 inches.
Asiana Airlines welcomes dogs as emotional support and service animal. While service dogs are accepted on all flights run by the airlines, emotional support dogs are only allowed on flights taking off to or from the US. However, for both service animal and emotional support animal, certain rules and regulations are applicable.
