Most airlines accept pets weighing 20 lbs or less in the cabin and no more than 100 lbs in the cargo hold. Larger dogs that do not meet the requirement of the cabin will be transported in the cargo hold. Before booking your flights with a pet, it is always advised to check any seasonal restrictions the airline may have.

Air Transat Pet Policy

Air Transat welcomes pets to fly in their cabin and checked baggage hold. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s). Only a limited number of pets are permitted per aircraft, so confirming the availability and animal restrictions is the first step of many, as explained further.
