Air Italy Pet Policy

Air Italy does not accept pets on all of its flights; therefore passengers need to proceed with bookings accordingly. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s).

Pet Criteria

Air Italy allows dogs, cats, singing birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and ferrets as pet passengers. However, animals less than 3 months old are not welcome onboard Air Italy flights. Proper vaccinations record and health status of a pet is taken into consideration to allow admission to him/her on the flight.

In-cabin

A pet that is welcome in the cabin of an Air Italy flight must always be under the supervision of the accompanied passenger. The pet should also be kept at all times inside the carrier that must not exceed the dimensions limit of 19 x 13 x 11 inches. Above that, the carrier should be made of a sturdy material that is properly ventilated and has a leak proof bottom. It must also be large enough for the pet to comfortably sit, stand and turn around. The combined weight of the pet and carrier must not be more than 22 lbs.

Checked Baggage

Pets that do not meet the weight requirement of the cabin may travel in the hold as checked baggage. The pet must be kept in a carrier made up of a rigid material, the shell of which can either be of fiberglass or solid plastic.
