Most airlines accept pets weighing 20 lbs or less in the cabin and no more than 100 lbs in the cargo hold. Larger dogs that do not meet the requirement of the cabin will be transported in the cargo hold. Before booking your flights with a pet, it is always advised to check any seasonal restrictions the airline may have.

Air Inuit Pet Policy

Pet travel on Air Inuit is subject to availability. Therefore, a passenger planning to travel with a pet needs to make reservations ahead in time. It is of prime importance to be aware of the airlines’ specific pet policies to understand the requirements and prepare for a safe and comfortable journey for your pet(s).

Pet Criteria

Live animals are welcome onboard Air Inuit.

In-cabin

At present, Air Inuit does not allow pets to travel in the cabin of the aircraft with an exception to the service animal.

Checked Baggage

Each passenger flying with Air Inuit is allowed to bring one pet along with them. The weight of the pet must not be more than 99 lbs. The carrier in which the pet will be transported must be made up of rigid plastic and should be large enough for the pet to comfortably sit, stand up and turn around.

In-cargo

Larger animals that do not meet the requirement of the checked baggage are required to be transported via the cargo service of the airline.

Emotional support/Service Animal

Air Inuit allows passenger surviving any physical disability to travel with a service animal in the cabin of the aircraft at no additional cost. However, it provides no such provision for emotional support animals.
